I cleaned my vinyl siding with a 1% sh and GW. Used BW to neutralize and then rinsed it down pretty good with fresh water. My pressure wasn't the best on the hose for rinsing but it got the job done. The rest of the house looks good but I have one area were the siding looks dull and if I scrub it, it looks better. Any ideas on why this is and any thoughts on how to prevent it at a customers house?

It probably a defect in the vinyl siding. I had a meeting with a siding manufacturer rep a couple weeks ago. I can't remember the exact wording as he described it, but siding can sometimes fade unevenly and it is due to the chemical that is applied when the graining is rolled onto the siding as part of a top coating to prevent fading. It may have been coated unevenly and it can cause differences in sheens. the higher grades of siding use one type of chemical while the low end used on builder homes is a different process - or so he said. A resource to check is VSI - Vinyl Siding Institute.
