I wantd to share one of Spray Wash's secret weapons in buying vehicles. I typically buy my service vehicles form Govdeals.com. Many municipalities offer their pre-loved vehicles on this site. Often times they are cosmetically challenged, but usually the municipal vehicles are mechanically sound with very rigorous matainence schedules.
I just bought this 2002 F250 5.4, 200,000 miles, gas burner out of south Carolina for $1,420 dollars and was able to drive it back to Tallahassee, Florida. Got a couple of sensors that need to be replaced, but I think it will be a geat truck.
Here are pictures in its non-cleaned condtion. I'll post more as I start the clean-up process
As usual you offer us very helpful info. Thanks. I just spent the last 15 minutes going throught their site. Their descriptions seem honest and detailed, which is always a plus.

City/county trucks Are usually beat to heck on the outside, but they typically have had an outstanding maintenance program with keeps the moving parts in good shape. This truck had all new napa belts and hoses that probably aren't 10k miles old.

Good luck with that Dan. Unfortunately the appearance of excessive profit tends to generate excessive competition. Just like unlicensed home repair, it is extremely tough to legislate competition, there's always people out there willing to do it on the sly no matter what the law says. I think our biggest advocacy is for homeowner education. It's important for us to point out what happens when unprofessional, unqualified, uninsured laborers attack the house and roof.
