Just a quick Before & After of a job we did today. The whole house cam out great, but the nasty, funky front steps impressed the customer the most. Actualy impressed two of his neightbors enough to get estimates and sign contracts, as my Assistant Tech was cleaning up the rig. I am just glad the weather is turning, last winter spoiled everyone in the Northeast with an out of the sorts, mild temperatures.
That says it all right there. Bye bye no no blaster. Great job!

Very nice, John.
What percentage did you need for the concrete and if needed, how did you protect the plants that were in contact with the concrete?
Thanks..

Mark,
Thanks.. We used a 4% strength due to darkness of the stains and the discoloration from the planters. Because of the amount of rain we have had in the Northeast lately the mulch and ground was pretty wet, but we saturated all the shrubs and flooded the ground again and again. I finished with Plant Wash just to have a little more peace of mind. we are getting an inch of rain today, so anything left should be completely diluted by the end of the day today.

Hello, I am lining up family for small jobs to learn the craft and get hands on experience/confidence. I have an inground pool concrete walkway and patio with black/dark streaks and moss. I am planning on using CH and GW only on my SWS. I have read all I can on the board about using CH only and am going in that direction. (looking forward to Lexington and Concrord down the road) I will be using Powder Power Plus 73%.
Here's my question, if I go with a 4% mix and let the solution sit/dwell, how long would I tell the HO not to use the walkway or come into contact with barefeet if I left the solution in place as is common with roofs? I have read the the SH and CH are inert in 24-48 hrs? Is that correct? Or in this type of application should I apply and let dwell for 30 minutes or longer, then BW so the walkway can be used the same day/next day/?
Thanks for any input and your time!

We do not let it stay on anything but roofs. the dwell time just depends on how black it is and how much vegetation around the concrete could be harmed. It is a job to job and a Hands on thing. You will see the concrete foam up and lighten before your eyes. If it was not a long enough dwell time, you can always fan a light second coat after a quick rinse.

All hail the power of greenwash! Do you think the pixie dust would have helped on this application or hurt? Just curious...

We have only used the pixie dust in cold weather applications. you need to be careful as the fresh and clear will burn up the SH quickly and any mix left in the tank will weaken in strength as the hours pass. I would not use it in anything that was not a cold temp application
