What is Soft Wash Systems Bleach accelerator? Can I one Batch a 3% mix of SH &CH thru my gen2 twin pump system using more CH than SH? If so ,what would the formula look like?

The bleach accelerator will act as a catylist and boost the bleaching power of lighter mixes. Yes even mixes that are more CH than SH.

No, Mike. Although the GW does accelerate, the actual accelerator being referred to is purchased at Leslie Pool Supply under the name of "Fresh and Clear". Commonly referred to on this forum as "Pixy-Dust". Only takes 2oz per 50 gallons of roof mix!!

That Bleach accelerator thing has had me stumped for a while now. A lot of people think he is referring to Green Wash.

Bumping this back up -

And am I looking for shock or chroline?
I ran out of SH, And can't make the drive to pick some up before the job
Thanks

calcium Hypochlorite or Cal-Chlor. Depending what your are cleaning and what percentage, you have to keep it mixed well to minimize the whitish residue. If you are doing a roof it shouldnt be a problem because of all the rain coming and it will rinse off. If you are doing siding, make sure you rinse glass well. I have one of those blue 55 gallon drums in my garage that I try to keep full as a back-up - I transfer back into that tank from my rig. It helps on a Friday if you are on a job late and cant get to your supplier so that you will have mix for the weekend.

CH is pool shock just don't by the one with a stabilizer added witch is a acid!!! You won't need a catalysts this time of year you would only need when surface temps are 60 or colder. Lesley's Fresh and Clear is the product used as the accelerator.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Guys
It's raining already so I'm not going out today. I had a small townhouse todo with a deck estimate.
It was brick and siding. Hopefully I can pick up some SH, if not I still want to try CH

The chem that really kicks bleach in the rear is a product Leslies makes called Fresh and Clear. Add about 2 ounces to a 50 gal mix and stand back....lol

Is it compatible with SH as well?
I wonder if Leslie's sells 12%. They're closer than my normal supplier - sunbrite

I'm driving over an hour to get 50 gallons of SH at a time at the moment. $3.15 a gallon is what I'm paying
