I am looking to do a commercial, and I wanted to create some black streaks on a roof, so that I can spray them and then rinse them away with a garden hose. Anyone have any ideas for some fake black streaks?

you could do a time lapse then you can go clean a real roof insted.. and it will make you look realllly fast.. or just get some dirt and mix with potting soil

Cleaning a real roof is by far the best way to do it, but with a camera crew it is very difficult, the sun is always beaming down on the cameras. Potting soil is also a great idea.

Danny, i think sugar water and about two weeks dwell time should give you plenty of black streaks.
