What good would a rope grab be if you can't move around?
Just curious...

Vic,
Rope grabs or hand brakes or assenders allow you to take rope in or up while protecting you against a sudden accidental decent. All of these devices include a one way "grab" that allows you to manually open the latch and adjust your ropes length. They are designed that if you fall or even pass out the device thinks for you and closes stopping the rope from moving through the device.

Thank you, AC.
Here is hoping you had the juiciest, tastiest turkey ever!
Hope everybody has a great holiday weekend, but I still don't know what static means ;)
Here is a description in J Racenstein's website: "Rope Grab 5/8in Static, w/2ft Lanyard."
I was just curious what static means...
I really like that video, and wish your roof anchor had been included in the SWS fall protection kit.
I bought the Twin Pump today, but probably won't use it till after Softwashapalooza.
In ropes static doesn't strech, dynamic does strech.

Great answer! So I want to use rigid/no stretch rope with that rope grab...
Thank you, AC
